What services does Daley Cook Designs offer?
We specialise in interior styling on Sydney’s Northern Beaches and Lower North Shore —whether you’re refreshing a single room or undertaking a full home transformation. Our services encompass furniture and décor sourcing, colour palette development, space planning, and complete installation styling. For those seeking expert guidance without the cost of full Interior Designer fees, we provide confident support to help you make key design decisions before, during, or after your build.
-
How is interior styling different from interior design?
Interior styling focuses on the look, feel, and flow of your space—furniture, lighting, textiles, artwork, and accessories—while interior design can include structural changes and renovations. At Daley Cook Designs, we bridge both worlds, offering styling that’s thoughtful, practical, and timeless.
-
Do I need to commit to a full-home project?
Not at all. Whether you’re updating one room or an entire house, we’ll tailor our services to suit your needs and budget.

-
Do you work with existing furniture and décor?
Absolutely. We love incorporating meaningful pieces you already own into the styling plan—it makes the space feel even more personal. We’ll let you know what works, what may need rehoming, and how to best integrate your favourites into the overall look.
-
How long does a typical project take?
Timelines vary depending on the project size and product lead times. A single room styling project might take 4–6 weeks, while larger projects may take a few months. We’ll give you a clear estimate at the start.
-
What’s the investment for your services?
Every project is unique. We offer styling packages as well as tailored proposals depending on scope. During your consultation, we’ll provide a clear breakdown of costs.
-
Do you offer virtual or remote styling?
Yes. For clients outside our local area, we offer e-styling services—complete with mood boards, product sourcing, and styling instructions you can implement yourself.
-
Can we help with structural changes or renovations?
Yes we can. While we primarily focus on styling and furnishings, we collaborate with builders, architects, or trades if your project involves any room changes or renovations. This allows those that do not wish to engage with an Interior Designer but with someone like us who might have a few ideas that could help the process.
-
Do you have a preferred style or brand?
Stylists often work with multiple trusted suppliers and brands, ensuring a diverse range of choices for their clients.
-
How much input do I have on the final look?
It is important to recognise that our involvement is based on our specialized expertise in this process. Rest assured, you will have a meaningful role, as the stylist collaborates closely with you to ensure the final outcome aligns perfectly with your vision and the agreed-upon direction.
-
Will I see the furniture before I pay?
After an initial consultation, a deposit is usually required to begin the ordering process.
-
Trade Discounts
Trade discounts are not automatically included in an interior styling package. These discounts are offered by suppliers as a thank you to designers for choosing their products and to encourage ongoing business. It is an industry standard for suppliers to provide discounts to trade clients such as designers and other professionals.

Why procurement is so much more than simply clicking ‘order’
Procurement is so much more than simply clicking ‘order’ and waiting for pieces to arrive. It’s building trusted relationships with suppliers, tracking production schedules, coordinating white-glove delivery, resolving damages, storing items safely, and ensuring everything arrives in perfect condition—at the right time.
Design is creative. Procurement is logistical. Both are essential, but they’re very different skill sets—and both take time, care, and expertise.
At Daley Cook Designs, we believe in fair, transparent practices that allow us to sustainably run our studio while delivering a seamless experience for our clients. Our clients often tell us the biggest relief is knowing someone is orchestrating all the moving parts—so they can simply enjoy the magic of reveal day.
We are always happy to answer questions about how the design process works, because transparency is at the heart of what we do.
